KOLİN was founded as a corporation in 1977 in Elazığ. Over the next 30 years, the Company gained an unblemished reputation as a first-class constructor of large scale public and private developmental projects.
KOLİN is steadily growing and updating its technical adequacy and capacity on new and daring projects. Its highly qualified and experienced staff with a heavy preponderance of civil, mechanical, electrical and environmental engineers and architects is multiplying its size in parallel to this growth. And new technologies and equipment cutting construction times and budgets without sacrificing quality or safety are being introduced.
Kolin Construction has successfully completed 73 projects on all sides of our country since it has been established on the year of 1977 and it is still carrying on 28 projects. It has completed so many motorway, highway, railway, housing, industrial plant, irrigation and dam projects in every part of the country from Çanakkale to Gümüşhane, Trabzon to Şanlıurfa, and besides, road construction and irrigation projects from Afghanistan to Jordan are also being carried on by the company.
Kolin's fields of activities cover a large geographical area extending from Turkey to Cyprus, Jordan,Libya, Azerbaijan and Afghanistan. Well-trained and experienced personnel numbering almost 2000 works for KOLİN in its Ankara Central Office and on several job sites as well as branch offices in Kabul, Amman, Nicosia, Bakü and Tripoli.
The works undertaken vary from motorways, railways and tunnels; to ports, airports and communication projects from dams and modern irrigation projects to water conveyance systems; from industrial complexes and pipelines to mass housing projects; from schools, hospitals, hotels and office buildings, repair and maintenance workshops to military installations, Kolin continues its works by combining its versatility with the conception of productivity and quality on a wide field from transportation, communication to agricultural and energy projects.
The affiliate companies of KOLİN operate in the fields of tourism, marketing, energy transportation, automotive equipment, machine industries, natural gas distribution and port operating services. The auxiliary services needed from time to time over the years have been provided by KOLSAN Co. Inc. , one of KOLİN’s charter members. And some of the group of companies; ATLAS and KOLPAŞ were founded to form a comprehensive basis in related fields of activity.
Kolin has a good credit rating and a high reliability among national and international financing organizations. In the last four years The total avarage has been approximately 206 500 231 USD. The turnover for 2006 is US $ 399 975 494 . The total value of Kolin’s completed works is 1.1 billion US $ while the value of undertaken projects total more than 2.8 billion dollars. Kolin, has various investments throughout the country in several fields. As an investment in the tourism area, the Çanakkale Kolin Hotel and Convention Center, the only five–star hotel as well as the biggest convention center on the Izmir-Istanbul coast-line, has been completed and put into service. AKKÖY I and AKKÖY II Hydro Electric Power Plant Projects and The Çanakkale Port Projects will be implemented on a B.O.T. basis. The ESGAZ Eskişehir province Natural Gas Distribution and Dikili Port operation projects have been undertaken within the scope of privatization.
Kolin, whose operations are based on quality and environmental and safety regulations, has certificates of ISO 9001 Quality Management System, ISO 14001 Environment Management System and OHSAS 18001 Occupational Health and Safety Standards.
Kolin is a member of The Turkish Constructors Association, The Turkish Association of Asphalt Constructors, The International Road Federation, The Turkish Road Association, American Business Forum in Turkey (ABFT), The World Trade Center Association, The World Water Council and Foreign Economic Relations Board.
