CANAKKALE KOLIN HOTEL & CONGRESS CENTER
The Kolin Hotel and Congress Center was built in Çanakkale by Kolin Construction at an investment cost of USD 31,838,438. It went into operation in 2003. The hotel and center are held by Kolin under a BOT contract that includes a 49-year operating franchise.
Built on 86,000 m² of grounds that includes a 650-meter waterfront with an expansive 180° view of the Çanakkale Straits, the Kolin Hotel and Congress Center contains a 5-star hotel that can accommodate 600 guests in 42 suites and 276 rooms (including 3 specially equipped for the handicapped), a congress hall with seating capacity for 800 people, the Megaron congress center with 14 meeting rooms of different types and sizes, and dedicated sports areas that are equipped to international standards and can serve as a camp for professional sport teams.
The hotel is situated 320 kms from İstanbul, 319 kms from İzmir, 271 kms from Bursa, and 682 kms from Ankara. Despite its rich assortment of historical, cultural, and touristic attractions that are virtually unique in the world, the Çanakkale region hitherto had been accessible to domestic and international tourism only on a transit basis due to the lack of adequate accommodations. The Kolin Hotel and Congress Center has already begun playing an important role in the region’s cultural and congress tourism as well as in its social and economic development.
