K-L Çimento was set up in 2006 to undertake investments in energy and industry. The company has applied for and received licenses for a hydroelectric power plant located on the Gevne river in Konya that will have an annual production capacity of 90 million kWh. Work on the project, the total investment cost of which is USD 31 million, is scheduled to begin during 2007.
