Bozova Pumped Irrigation, Section I

This project is designed to provide regular irrigation to a total area of 8,669 hectares with pressurized sprinkler and drip irrigation systems using water pumped from Atatürk Dam. The following structures have been built as part of this project: four pumping stations, steel penstock pipeline, reservoir; a trapezoidal main canal, filter stations; and a pressurized irrigation network piping with various diameters.

The project was implemented as part of the Framework Agreement signed between Turkish and Spanish governments, was financed by the OECD Export loans, commercial loans, and the Spanish FAD (Fondo de Agnida al Desarrollo) in return for the goods and services procured from Spain.
